Modeling logistic processes and systems

The history of the conference „Modeling logistic processes and systems” began in 2000 and covers 20 editions of this event. The annual meetings were organised to exchange the logistic ideas and practical solutions. After short time the scientific achievements and results of the conference discussions led to create so-called “the Sopot school of logistics”. The main topic of the conference covered issues related to the modeling of logistic support systems as indispensable subsystems of every purposeful human activity using a variety of modeling methods and tools: from descriptive to IT models. The participants of the meetings were academics of leading Polish academic centres, research institutes, representatives of the Government of the Republic of Poland, local government administration at various levels and representatives of business.
