The scientific conference titled „The problems of introducing Poland into European Transportation System” was the first conference organised by Departments of Transport and Logistics of University of Gdańsk and took place in May 1992. From the very beginning the conference was popular among scientists, authorities, entrepreneurs and specialists in the field of transport, shipping and logistics. The aim of the conference was to exchange experience, research results and to discuss the changes in the TSL sector. The conference under the same title was organised until 1999. In the years 2000-2004 the conference title changed into “Adapting Polish transport to the European Union”. In the following years the situation of Polish transport sector has changed accordingly to the Poland's accession to the EU. In 2007 and 2009 the conference was renamed again and took place as a INTRALOG conference, then in the years 2014-2019 as a TranSopot conference with watchword “Challenges of transport development in the 21st century”. The 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
